About me

I am Oliver König, born in Mannheim and still loyal to the area. After graduating from high school, I began my apprenticeship (2012-2015) as an IT specialist for systemintegration and spent the practical phases as an trainee at trans-o-flex Express GmbH. After that I seamlessly continued with a dual study (2015-2018) in business informatics and further deepened the practical experience I had already acquired in Weinheim at trans-o-flex. From 2018, I started to work as a software developer for trans-o-flex before moving to my current employer, DB Systel GmbH in Frankfurt am Main.

Here I am now, developing modern front ends in and with Angular, specialised in the most visible with HTML and SCSS. My current challenges? Accessibility, multilingualism, etc..

I look forward to the future and love to get better at what I do!

In a small team of developers I am one of them, who develop the front end of ICE Portal - "The In Train Entertainment & Infotainment" Portal of the fastest and most climate-friendly way of traveling throughout Germany on the ground. The Intercity Express of Deutsche Bahn AG. Or simply ICE.

At trans-o-flex I learned the developing of software from scratch. In a lot of high professional internal apps I was main responsible for UI and user experience to ensure modern and easy to use logistic software.

Apprentice and dual student

In my six years as apprentice and dual student I got insights in all departments of an IT company. My focal points were system administration and software development. Sounds like DevOps? Coincidence? I hardly think so!

At Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim I graduated as business information scientist with my bachelor thesis "Use of test driven development methods to validate IT systems in the GDP environment".

The apprenticeship school was at Werner-von-Siemens school in Mannheim. There I developed my affinity to software development and finished my education with my practical work "Installation and configuration of a certification authority".
